Life-long Tuckahoe resident Mrs. Emma Palmer shares why she is such a strong supporter of Mayor Andino and Trustees Darryl Taylor and Josh Gaccione. 

Hello Neighbors:

This letter is to tell you why I will vote to re-elect Mayor Omayra Andino and Village Trustee Darryl Taylor, and elect Joshua Gaccione as Trustee.

I am 83 years old, a lifelong resident of Tuckahoe, and a registered Republican. I’ve seen mayors come and go, and Mayor Andino is the best yet! Here are five things I like about Omayra and why I am voting for her: 

• Mayor Andino keeps her word. She delivered on the promises she made when running for office. 
• The Mayor always looks out for seniors. During Covid, she made sure that we got our shots and we did not have to leave home.
• The Mayor always helps people in the Village. When babies needed diapers, she got them. 
• The Mayor supports every event. Whether it is the Tuckahoe Housing Authority Family Day, Veterans Day, Saint Patrick's Day Parade, or Juneteenth, she is there. 
• Mayor Andino is compassionate and cares deeply about her community.

It is not surprising that Village Trustee Darryl Taylor chose to become a public servant. He is following in the footsteps of his mother, Mrs. Alma Lee Taylor, who helped shape Tuckahoe. Darryl’s parents instilled in him the values of integrity, loyalty, and accountability  that manifest in his years of community service. Prior to being elected to the Village Board, Trustee Taylor volunteered for more than 40 years at ECAP and mentored young people through the Saving our Sons and Daughters program.

Trustee Taylor embodies the best of Tuckahoe. And because he’s always gone the extra mile for us, I’m asking you to do something special for him: Be sure to look in the bottom-right corner of your ballot to vote for Darryl on the Bipartisan line.  

Although I have just met Village Trustee Joshua Gaccione, he impressed me with his willingness to meet all the citizens of Tuckahoe. When we talked, he said he wants to continue making sure that our youth are involved civically and socially through community and county programs. Our young people deserve the opportunities that Trustee Gaccione will bring.

Neighbors, Mayor Andino, Trustee Taylor, and Trustee Gaccione are moving Tuckahoe forward - and we can’t fall back. Please vote for them during early voting starting October 28 or on Election Day, November 7.  Thank you.
